Charlie Kirk, Parker Short get into verbal spat at DNC

Young Democrats of Georgia President Parker Short clashed with Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Monday.

Kirk posted a video capturing part of the exchange with the caption, "Within 30 seconds of walking into the United Center, I was confronted by this guy. Apparently he’s the President of the Young Democrats of Georgia?"

In the clip, which starts midway through the confrontation, Short can be seen questioning Kirk about former President Trump's false claims of fraud in the 2020 election in Georgia.

“You’re an anti-patriotic, anti-constitutional person crashing our party because you tried to obstruct democracy,” Short told Kirk.

Kirk, a vocal Trump supporter, hit back at Short, asking “What is a woman?”

The definition of “man” and “woman” has been weaponized by Republicans in recent years as part of the culture war over transgender people.

Short then walks away, calling Kirk "weird," a refrain that has gained popularity among Democrats to describe former President Trump, his running mate Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) and their supporters.

Young Democrats of Georgia's X account later quote tweeted Kirk's post, saying, "ratio + you got owned."

The Hill has reached out to both Parker and Kirk for comment.

Short, first shot to public recognition after a video of him dancing to rapper Kendrick Lamar’s "Not Like Us" at Harris’ Atlanta rally in July went viral on social media.
